Furniture Is Where Most Moving Damage Happens

Boxes are forgiving. Furniture is not. A carton of books can be dropped and nothing much happens. A glass-topped dining table, a marble console, a solid-wood wardrobe or a leather sofa will show every mistake permanently — a chipped corner, a scratched veneer, a stripped screw thread that means the piece never sits square again.

Almost all furniture damage traces back to one of three things: the item was carried instead of being dismantled, it was wrapped inadequately or not at all, or it was loaded into the truck in the wrong position and something shifted during the drive. All three are avoidable, and avoiding them is essentially what a professional furniture moving service in Abu Dhabi is.

We handle furniture as its own discipline. Our carpenters dismantle rather than force. Everything is wrapped in blankets, stretch film and corner protection before it leaves the room. Loading follows a sequence — heavy and flat items low, fragile items secured upright, straps across every layer. It is not complicated work, but it is work that has to actually be done rather than skipped to save an hour.

Moving just one or two items? That is a job we take happily. Send a photo of the item and both addresses on WhatsApp and we will quote it quickly. 054 420 4822

What We Do

Our Furniture Moving Services

Available as part of a full home move, or as a standalone job for a single item.

Dismantling & Reassembly

Beds, wardrobes, dining tables, desks, shelving, bunk beds and TV units taken apart by carpenters, with every fitting bagged and tagged to its item, then rebuilt at the destination.

Protective Wrapping

Furniture blankets, stretch film, bubble wrap and corner guards on every piece. Upholstery is covered against dust and abrasion, and polished surfaces get an extra layer.

Transport & Securing

Padded closed trucks with load-securing straps. Items are positioned so nothing rests on a fragile surface and nothing shifts on the drive, however long the route.

Single Item Moves

A sofa, a bed, a fridge, a wardrobe, a treadmill or a piano. We do not insist on booking a full-day job when you only need one thing moved across the city.

Heavy & Fragile Items

Marble tables, safes, pianos, gym equipment, aquariums, chandeliers and antiques. Extra crew, proper lifting equipment and a plan agreed before anyone lifts anything.

Loading & Unloading Only

Already have a truck or a container? We supply the crew to load or unload it properly, which is often where the real risk of damage sits anyway.

How We Handle Different Types of Furniture

Not everything can be treated the same way. These are the methods our crews are trained to follow.

Why Dismantling Matters More Than People Think

The single most common request we get from customers trying to save money is to skip dismantling and just carry things out whole. Occasionally that works. Far more often it is what causes the damage.

A large wardrobe carried whole through a doorway takes the weight on its joints in a direction they were never designed for. Frames rack, joints loosen, and the piece never quite sits square again even if nothing visibly breaks. A dining table dragged through a corridor scrapes a wall and takes a chunk out of a leg. A bed frame forced around a stairwell corner cracks at exactly the point that carries the most load.

Dismantling adds an hour or two. Repairing or replacing a damaged wardrobe costs considerably more than that, and in a rented property the wall damage can come out of your deposit as well. As furniture movers in Abu Dhabi we will always advise dismantling where the item was designed for it, and we include it in the standard price precisely so nobody is tempted to skip it for the wrong reason.

What You Can Do to Help

  • Empty wardrobes, drawers and cabinets completely before the crew arrives — furniture is never moved with contents inside
  • Defrost the fridge and freezer at least twenty-four hours ahead and drain the water tray
  • Take down curtains, wall-mounted TVs and shelves in advance if you want to keep the brackets
  • Photograph the back of your TV and audio setup before disconnecting anything — it makes reconnection far easier
  • Point out any item that is already damaged or has a weak joint so the crew handles it accordingly

Furniture Delivery and Assembly

We also handle straightforward furniture delivery work. If you have bought from a showroom in Mussafah, Al Wahda, Dalma Mall or Yas Mall and need it collected and delivered, we can do that, including carrying it up to your apartment and assembling flat-pack items. This is a common job for people who have bought a bed or a wardrobe and discovered the store's delivery is kerbside only, or that assembly is charged separately at a rate they did not expect.

Furniture Moving Across the Emirate

We work daily across Khalifa City, Mohammed Bin Zayed City, Shakhbout City, Al Shamkha, Al Shawamekh, Baniyas, Mussafah, Shabiya, Al Reef, Al Raha, Al Reem Island, Yas Island, Saadiyat Island, Al Nahyan, the Corniche and Al Ain. Single-item jobs and full-home furniture moves get the same crews and the same handling standards.

How It Works

Our Furniture Moving Process

Send a Photo

WhatsApp us pictures of the items plus both addresses and floor numbers. For single items and small jobs that is usually all we need to quote.

Fixed Quote

A written price covering crew, vehicle, materials, dismantling and reassembly. No hourly meter running and no surcharge appearing at the end.

Dismantle & Wrap

Carpenters dismantle where appropriate, every piece is blanket-wrapped and corner-protected, and fittings are bagged and tagged to their item.

Deliver & Rebuild

Transported secured in a padded truck, then reassembled and positioned exactly where you want it, with all wrapping taken away.

FAQ

Furniture Moving Questions

Will you move just one item, like a single sofa?

Yes, single-item jobs are completely normal for us. Sofas, beds, wardrobes, fridges, washing machines, treadmills and pianos all get moved on their own regularly. Send a photo with both addresses and we will price it quickly.

Is dismantling and reassembly charged separately?

No. It is included in our standard furniture moving price. We deliberately do not charge for it separately, because that pricing model encourages customers to skip the very thing that prevents damage.

Can you move furniture up several floors without a lift?

Yes, though it needs more crew and more time, so tell us at the quote stage. For very large items that will not fit a stairwell we can arrange an external hoist, which is assessed and priced separately and clearly.

Do you assemble new flat-pack furniture?

Yes. We collect from the showroom, deliver to your apartment or villa, and assemble on site. Common for beds, wardrobes and dining sets where the store's delivery stops at the kerb.

What if a piece of furniture gets damaged?

Transit protection is included on every job. Report it at the walkthrough or as soon as you notice, and we will deal with it directly. Our claims process is written in plain language and explained before you book.

Can you take away furniture I no longer want?

Yes. We can remove and dispose of unwanted furniture as part of the job, or move it into our storage warehouse if you would rather keep it for later.
