Office Movers in Abu Dhabi
Planned office relocation in Abu Dhabi executed outside your working hours. Floor-plan labelling, protected IT equipment, workstation dismantling and reassembly — so your team leaves on Thursday and starts work Sunday morning with everything already on their desks.
Office Relocation Judged on One Thing: Downtime
A house move is judged on whether anything got broken. An office move is judged on something much harsher — how quickly your business is working again. A company can absorb a scratched desk. It cannot absorb forty people sitting idle on Sunday morning because nobody can find the network switch, or because the monitors arrived but the cables are in an unlabelled box somewhere.
That is why our office movers in Abu Dhabi plan the job backwards from the moment your staff walk in at the new address. Every desk, chair, cabinet, monitor and machine is assigned a destination position on a floor plan before a single item is packed. Everything is labelled against that plan. When the crew unloads, they are not asking where things go — they already know.
The physical move itself almost always happens outside business hours. Most of our commercial jobs run Thursday evening through Saturday, so staff leave the old office at the end of the week and arrive at the new one to find their equipment already on their desks. For larger relocations we phase it by department across consecutive weekends so no team is ever without a workspace.
Office moves always need a site visit. We will survey both premises, review the new floor plan with you, and produce a written relocation plan alongside the fixed quotation. Free and without obligation. Call 055 962 1160.
Our Commercial Moving Service
Everything needed to move a working business without losing a working day.
Floor-Plan Labelling
Every item tagged with a destination position taken from your new floor plan. Crates are colour-coded by department so unloading is systematic instead of a guessing game.
IT & Server Handling
Workstations, monitors, servers and network hardware packed with anti-static protection. Cables bagged and tagged to their machine so reconnection takes minutes, not hours.
Workstation Dismantling
Desk systems, partitions, conference tables, storage walls and shelving units dismantled and rebuilt by our carpenters, with all fittings tagged to their unit.
Confidential Files
Documents moved in sealed, numbered crates with a chain-of-custody record. Filing sequence is preserved so your archive arrives in the order it left.
Out-of-Hours Execution
Evenings, weekends and public holidays. Buildings are quieter, lifts are free, and your staff lose nothing. We work around your calendar rather than the other way round.
Single Project Manager
One named contact from the first site visit to the final sign-off, coordinating with your facilities team, IT team and both building managements.
What an Office Move Typically Requires
Commercial jobs vary enormously, but these are realistic planning figures for a standard office with lift access at both ends.
| Office Size | Crew | Vehicles | Typical Window |
|---|---|---|---|
| Up to 10 staff | 4 – 5 movers | 1 × 7-tonne | One evening |
| 10 – 25 staff | 6 – 8 movers | 1 – 2 vehicles | One full day |
| 25 – 50 staff | 8 – 12 movers | 2 – 3 vehicles | Weekend |
| 50 – 100 staff | 12 – 18 movers | 3 – 4 vehicles | Long weekend |
| 100+ staff | Phased teams | Multiple | Phased over weekends |
Your Relocation Timeline
- Eight weeks out: confirm the new premises and start the fit-out schedule. Book your movers now — good weekend slots go early.
- Six weeks out: site survey at both premises. Agree the floor plan and the labelling system.
- Four weeks out: notify your telecoms and internet provider. Line installation at the new office is the most common cause of delayed relocations in Abu Dhabi, and it cannot be rushed.
- Three weeks out: arrange building permits, lift bookings and loading bay access at both addresses.
- Two weeks out: distribute crates to staff for personal desk items. Begin archiving and disposing of what you will not take.
- One week out: update your address on the trade licence, bank records, suppliers, website and Google Business Profile.
- Move weekend: IT disconnects Thursday evening, we move Friday and Saturday, IT reconnects and tests Saturday, staff arrive Sunday to a working office.
The mistake we see most often. Companies plan the furniture move meticulously and leave the internet line to the last minute. Order your connection at the new premises the day you sign the lease. Everything else can be worked around; a missing line cannot.
Commercial Work Beyond Standard Offices
Office relocation is the largest part of our commercial work, but it is not all of it. We regularly handle:
- Retail and showroom moves — fixtures, display units and stock, usually scheduled overnight to avoid trading hours
- Warehouse relocations — racking, pallets and inventory with sequence preserved
- Clinic and medical practice moves — sensitive equipment and secure patient record handling
- School and training centre moves — planned around term breaks and holiday periods
- Staff accommodation moves — for companies relocating large teams between labour or staff housing
- Bank and government office relocations — with strict document security procedures throughout
Business Districts We Cover
We work daily across Abu Dhabi's commercial areas: Hamdan Street, the Corniche, Al Reem Island, Al Maryah Island, Khalifa Street, Electra Street, Mussafah Industrial Area, ICAD, Al Nahyan, Khalifa City, Yas Island and Masdar City. Each has its own building access rules, loading bay arrangements and permitted working hours, and we know most of them well enough to plan around them before the job starts.

Office Moving Questions
How much downtime should we expect?
For most offices under fifty staff, none. The move runs Thursday evening through Saturday and your team starts Sunday at the new address. Larger relocations are phased by department so no team is ever without a workspace.
Do you disconnect and reconnect computers?
We disconnect, pack, transport and place equipment at the correct desk, with cables bagged and tagged. Reconnection and network configuration is usually handled by your own IT team, though we can coordinate directly with them or with your IT contractor on the schedule.
Can you provide crates in advance for staff?
Yes. We deliver labelled crates a week or two before the move so staff can pack their own desks and personal items. It speeds the whole operation up considerably and gives people control over their own belongings.
How are confidential documents handled?
In sealed, numbered crates with a chain-of-custody record signed at both ends. Filing sequence is preserved. For banks, clinics and government offices we can work to whatever additional security protocol you require.
What if we need to move in phases?
Phased moves are common for larger companies. We split by department or floor across consecutive weekends, with a written schedule so everyone knows exactly when their team relocates and where they will be sitting.
Do you handle disposal of old furniture?
Yes. We can remove and dispose of redundant desks, chairs and cabinets as part of the job, or move them into storage if you would rather keep them for a future fit-out.
